Close to Krakow, Poland, there was a swamp. Lights were seen coming from the swamp and shooting towards the sky. People went to investigate but could find nothing. Then a report was heard that All Saints Catholic Church was broken into and a monstrance, which contained a consecrated Host, was stolen.
The Bishop asked people to pray and fast so that the Host would be found. They prayed and fasted for 3 days.
Then they went to the section of the swamp where the light was coming from. Digging began and they found the monstrance and Consecrated Host inside. It was clean. The thieves had thrown the monstrance away when they realized it was not gold.
The Bishop brought the Host back to the Church and put it in the tabernacle. The lights from the Swamp were never seen again. Those events are well documented.
In the year 1345, King Casimar III the Great of Poland gave orders to build a church named Corpus Christi in honor of the Eucharistic miracle. The Church of Corpus Christi in Krakow, Poland contains paintings depicting the miracle as well as documents and depositions relating to the matter.
Jesus keeps His promises that He would give us His Flesh to eat and His Blood to drink (John 6:48-59).
At every Mass, for the last 2,000 years, when the priest says the words of consecration (this is My Body and this is My Blood) the bread and wine are changed into the Body, Blood, Soul, Divinity of Jesus Christ. All Christians believed this miracle happens at Mass for the first 1,500 years until the Protestant Reformation.
The red blood cells in fresh blood break down over time (24 to 48 hours) without refrigeration.
